Women’s Ministry

This section provides you with information about the Gateway Women’s Discipleship Ministry – abbreviated, GWDM.

What: Our mandate conforms with that of the New Testament Church of God (NTCG) National Women’s Discipleship Ministry (WDM) Mission; which in practical terms means we primarily exist to achieve two things:

  1. To equip the range of women that make up our fellowship to pursue and enjoy fulfilled and purpose driven, Christian lives
  2. To reach out to the women that make up our local community providing support and love so that they too get to know the fullness of Christ and where it’s not already the case, that they are given the opportunity to establish their own relationship with Jesus

‘Women’s Ministry’ seeks to address needs that are specific to women and therefore compliments the church’s mainstream programme of activities which all women are heartily encouraged to get involved in.

The information that follows provides details of the five (5) main ministry streams that are in place to help us achieve our primary goals and apart from what’s already been said, the most important thing to note is that you do not need to be a member of the church to participate in any session or activity we run.

So please share what you find in this section with your daughters, sisters, aunties, mothers, grandmothers, friends, neighbours and work colleagues – and let them know what we’re doing.  There’s something for everyone!

Our Goal is to equip and support women within our locality

Our Work is to be relevant and be guided by sound doctrine

Our Determination is to reach women in and outside of the church

Our Motivation is love; for Jesus Christ IS Love

How: Our five ministry streams are:

  1. The generic needs of ‘All women together’
  2. “Equally Yoked” a ministry to Married women and their husbands
  3. The Gateway Single Women’s Ministry (GSWM) a ministry to those who have never married, are divorced or widowed
  4. Women of Wisdom (“WOW”) – a ministry to women aged over 65 years and/or with additional needs
